On Saturday, an era at the white club comes to an end with the farewell of Carlo Ancelotti, Luka Modri\u0107 and Lucas V\u00e1zquez, and just forty-eight hours later a new chapter will begin\u2014this time led by Xabi Alonso as the man at the helm of the Madrid ship, amid the sense that a revolution is coming in terms of squad building, starting with the change of captain\u2019s armband, which will be handed over to Dani Carvajal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c5b867213eacd4bf8f06659ddec60f1f\">The new Real Madrid head coach will be officially presented on Monday morning at the pavilion of the Valdebebas training complex. He arrives with a three-year contract ahead of him to prove what he has already shown at Bayer Leverkusen\u2014namely, to make history with the white club, something he already achieved as a player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8005afb2146cc03d4046b02d925edc95\"><strong>Getting down to work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although he has already been \u201cworking\u201d for several weeks on what his team will look like, Xabi Alonso knows that a tough challenge lies ahead: achieving a strong result at the Club World Cup. And he is fully aware that this means winning the FIFA-organized tournament in the United States, which kicks off on June 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-547a3ed04f0fc1c6f1f1d076f5e0a221\">Florentino P\u00e9rez will stand alongside the new coach and will help shape the return of the former first-team player and Real Madrid academy coach, before he took the step of moving to Real Sociedad\u2019s reserve team. He knows the club inside out and will also come across former teammates such as Carvajal and Modri\u0107\u2014though in the Croatian\u2019s case, only for the tournament in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4eb48a59cfc9de7e13db74df679280b5\"><strong>With four assistants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As previously reported by MARCA, Xabi Alonso arrives on the Real Madrid bench accompanied by as many as four assistants. Sebas Parrilla will remain by his side as assistant head coach. Alberto Encinas will also join the first team as part of Alonso\u2019s coaching staff.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f56c0079dc5e2943ef710f0d4ffe1388\">Physical preparation will be overseen by Ismael Camenforte L\u00f3pez. He began at Bar\u00e7a B, then moved on to New York City FC and Denmark, before arriving at Leverkusen in 2021. Antonio Pintus, until now the first team\u2019s fitness coach, will also continue working with the squad at the club\u2019s express request.
